A First Time for Everything
This year, the Orphaned Starfish Foundation hosted 10 of those 14,000 children at the gala and in New York City during the week. For most, it was their first time on an airplane. Their first night in a hotel room, in beds all to themselves. They marveled at the rich wonders New York has to offer—the towering skyscrapers, the endless streets, the sheer scale of a world they'd only imagined. These children, who have survived so much, got to live an extraordinary experience. That's what Yampu's contribution made possible.
