Safe protocols and scheduled dates bring international tourism back to the region this fall, with requirements including negative PCR tests and health measures in place.

Central America Reopens for Travel

Travel experts reported that Costa Rica began easing restrictions for Europe and select U.S. states in mid-August. Now, other Central American countries are working to safely reintroduce international travel, with new safety protocols rolling out by October 2020. Most destinations require a negative COVID-19 test taken 48 to 72 hours before arrival, along with additional health measures at each border.
